THREE BEST BREAKFAST OPTIONS

There's no hiding the fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I don't know about you but I lie in bed most nights thinking about breakfast and excited to wake up and chow down on a big bowl of oats or protein pancakes. Don't lie you do too!!! 

 

So what should we be eating in the morning to fuel our body for a big day with loads of energy? You can start by putting that white sandwich bread and cereal box down. And leave the sugary low fat yoghurt in the supermarket too. You should aim for a wholesome breakfast high in protein, healthy fats and carbs. Eggs and oats and protein powder are great options but this doesn't mean a boring fry up or bowl of oats everyday. Here is my three favourite wholesome breakfast options which aren't confusing or time consuming. 

1. PROTEIN PANCAKES; 4 simple ingredients. Oats, eggs, banana and protein powder and voila. Try this quick recipe. Mix/mash/blend 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 banana, 1 egg and 1 scoop of protein powder with a dash of water or milk until runny. Fry up 3-4 small pancakes. Top with peanut butter, yoghurt or honey and fruit. 2. OVERNIGHT OATS; Mix 1/2 cup oats, 1 scoop protein and 1 cup of milk in a container or bowl. Leave in the fridge overnight. Top with fruit nuts and seeds and you are ready to go!

3. SMOOTHIE BOWL; Blend up 1 banana, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 cup oats and milk with some ice. Pour into a bowl and top with some banana, berries, granola and seeds. Delish!!
